Rio Grande Village Campground
This is how close our campsite was to Mexico.........
Pretty neat.
There is a short nature trail that starts at the campground (just behind site #18). It was a pleasant surprise to see so much water in one place....... the drought has really devastated Texas.
This beautiful trail attracts birders from all over.
You just gotta love the scenery.......
.......... and we didn't have to hike for hours to see it!
Standing atop the hill you have panoramic views (Mexico is a stone's throw away).
Looking back toward Texas......... you can see our campground on the right.
