Andrew and I both ended up doing our own things yesterday. He stayed around the trailer and read his new book....... a biography on Steve Jobs (can't wait to read it myself).
I used my day for exploring (and running).
Found a nice trail.
I was a little nervous because I didn't have any bear spray (was told that there were still some active black bear).
So I sang out loud and made as much noise as possible.
The trail was only about a mile long, so I headed off onto highway 288 (not as busy as most).
There wasn't a shoulder to run on. Had to jump off into ditch areas when cars came around. Sometimes I get really caught up in the scenery and I don't notice cars........... was startled a couple times.
Note to self: Must work on concentration skills.
I ended up covering a bit over 12 miles (felt good). Here in Northern Georgia, the roads seem to go uphill FOREVER. Too bad I am not training for anything....... cause I could be in awesome shape.
Spotted more horses......
After dinner, I played around with my photographs. I am enjoying my new hobby.
That's all for now.
Gotta run.

Bears??
What is bear spray?
Yup..... bears. I believe bear spray is the same as pepper spray.
Really one's best bet is to be in a group, and not be the slowest ;-) lol
I have a canister of bear spray for our hikes in the White Mountains. And pepper spray while running. yep, a little paranoid :)
I can see why you might not be able concentrate on where you're running - the scenery you share w/ us is gorgeous :)
Bear spray is real?? I know me -- I'd be WANTING to see bears in the wild. Sounds like a lovely place to run!
You picture stories are awesome. I've been looking for bear spray, too, because I've run to black bears here. I think it would make me feel a bit more secure.
Stephanie..... you can get bear spray at REI.
Glad to hear you and Andrew are enjoying the journey.Keep posting those pictures ...they are awesome...love the horse ones!!
