This post has been inspired by an article I just read in June's TraiRunner magazine.
It talks about Diana Finkel's '2nd place overall' finish, 'first woman finisher', and record setting time at the Hardrock 100 mile race in 2010. It also talks, in depth, about the kidney failure she suffered and how she could have died.
The article was very eye opening.
Please take some time to check out the magazine article and do some investigating on your own...... It's a serious matter and you should know the warning signs.

That's the next article I'm reading, kind of dreading it, but I know it will be a good read.
Holy Cow that was scary, it sucks and not fair that we do things that suppose to make us heathly and live longer, but yet case after case of these stories pop up. Scary
NSaids can be very scary to an Ultra runner. I have so many doctors that tell me that running for general fitness is great but running to extremes like ultra runners do isn't exactly the healthiest thing for us to do.
It was a very good article. Every runner should read it.
