I wasn't fortunate enough to be able to wear shorts during my run yesterday. I knew it couldn't last forever :-)
It was about 5 degrees Celsius (41F). I wore a technical T-shirt, windbreaker jacket, tights, and some wind pants. Any more and I would have been too hot, any less.... you get the idea.
I headed out and the wind was quite strong (35 miles per hour +). At times, I was practically standing still.... Had to turn my head to the side to breathe!!! At one point a piece of dust/ dirt flew into my eye... ran like that for about a mile (my eye finally teared up enough to discharge the dirt). I hate when that happens.
I ran by these birds.... About 25 minutes later, on my return trip, they were doing the exact same thing. Not the sharpest tools in the shed!!!
I was so relieved when I got to the half way mark. I got to enjoy the lovely tail wind home.
When I run I prefer to do an "out and back". This way I can shut my mind off and enjoy the run..... I don't have to worry about missing a turn or going the wrong way.
What sort of run do you prefer?
Gotta run.
