Today's run was a 20 miler. I was pretty fortunate as my legs were, for the most part, pretty happy. I have been having soreness in my right hamstring. I know that I can correct it. It's just a matter of doing some physio exercises. Exercises that don't take much time.... why do they seem so tedious? Why do I dread doing them? I am/ am I weird.?
Today was the first day that hasn't been frigid (freeze your nose hairs) cold. It was nice to run in better weather. I am also glad that my recovery/ down week is finished. I find that my body hurts so much during that time. Once you stop or cut down, the aches and pains really seem so predominant.
Pictured below is today's starting out outfit. It was -7 degrees (19.4F) when we started... but it ended up being a really decent day. I had brought a camera to take some photos.... but it froze and wouldn't work :-( Maybe when the weather gets nicer, I will be able to post some pics of my long runs that I do with my friend/ running partner.
"You have to wonder at times what you're doing out there. Over the years, I've given myself a thousand reasons to keep running, but it always comes back to where it started. It comes down to self-satisfaction and a sense of achievement."
- Steve Prefontaine
Gotta run.

Yeah for a 20 miler, still not sure how you run in that cold weather.
Is that a helmut on your head - just in case you run into another car??? ;o)
