Sorry I haven't posted in awhile.
First off I have to mention that I am not going to do the Canadian Death Race in 2010. Andrew and I have decided that one big trip (meaning expensive) is what we should stick to. Since he's already paid for his Ironman admission.... he kinda won. I also wanted to make sure that all the parties involved (my support crew) knew before I posted it here.
I am going to be doing a 50 mile trail run (Sulphur Springs) and a half ironman distance duathlon in Peterborough, Ontario. I haven't sat down and planned everything yet.... will eventually post a schedule. So Stuart (from Quadrathon)... maybe I'll see you at the death race in 2011?
Oh, Derek (Journey Through the Ultra World) I may get a chance to come back to Texas in April... will keep you posted!
I have been doing a couple runs a week. I am up to 7 miles.... it's so hard starting at the beginning again. I am going to try and be conservative in my training and not go all Rocky Balboa and shit!!! I have also done some bike rides on the trainer.
I am not finished the books yet but I give them both a big Thumbs Up!!!!!
All you runners, new and old, grab yourself a copy of 'The Runner's Rule book'. You won't be disappointed! It's a quick read that can be done a page at a time. It would make a very good "bathroom book". I think that the authors would take that as a compliment!!! :-)
Prescious is also a great easy read. Not bathroom reading... but you can hammer through it in a few days.
I am signed up for a local 4km Santa Run (everyone wears Santa suits)this Saturday but have realized that I am going to be out of town. I hope to do it next year.
In other news... I am going to see President Bill Clinton speak about environmental issues at Caesar's Windsor, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada this coming April. This will be the first time I've seen a President of the United States up close and personal.
I just noticed that there are a couple new followers... Welcome and thanks for reading!!!
I think we're all caught up?!
Gotta run.
